The School's Commitment
Introducing and establishing the Act of Kindness Foundation into a school community is an empowering commitment recognising kind gestures and generous behaviour displayed by students.
The Act of Kindness Foundation raises the awareness of the power of being considerate to others and provides an opportunity for cooperative relationships between schools and the community.
We understand that schools become aware of the Act of Kindness at different times throughout the year, therefore, there are intakes at the begining of each term. Commitment is for one full year (four-term minimum). We recommend sponsors support the Act of Kindness for 3 years, as the same annual fee applies if money is paid at time of initial registration. This is beneficial for sponsors as they avoid possible increases in sponsorship fees.
The school
- Commits to be part of the Act of Kindness Foundation program and the Vision and Mission of the Foundation;
- Commits to all staff participating in the three steps that lead to the Act of Kindness Foundation Award;
- Finds and engages a sponsor for their school or group of schools for the school year. A sponsor can be a business, institution, service club, local council or an individual; Please note: Sponsorship must be confirmed for following year by end of 3rd term.
- Invites the sponsor to be part of the Award ceremony and publicity via acknowledgement in the weekly school newsletter and sponsor business hyper-link on school website.
